I never used to paint my nails, I was a girl who preferred a natural clear polish to any cherry red, ballet pink or royal blue hue. Maybe it’s because my mom always had long, perfectly manicured, yet polish free fingernails. Or maybe it’s because I was afraid of the old wives tail that painting your nails can change their color to an icky yellow. Either way, I stayed away from the stuff– that is up until about two or three years ago.
When I was abroad, traveling New Zealand, a friend of mine always carried a bottle of polish with her on our adventures. One day I decided to test out her polish on the beach and before long I was loving the way my toes looked in the sand. From that day on I have kept my nails colored in just about every color you can imagine.
I had never tried a Butter – London nail polish before, but when I saw this hunter green color just over a year ago, I knew I had to give it a spin! I thought it was the perfect fall/winter color so I held off for a while and finally purchased it a little over a month ago.
After just one use, I was in love! The quality and durability is un-parallel to my typical polish– which it better be at almost $15 a bottle. I could probably leave it on for 3 weeks if my nails didn’t grow out so fast!
Around the holidays I was inspired by Pinterest and paired this British Racing Green with another gold glitter polish I had and I loved the combination! I can’t wait to make my next Butter – London purchase, after all they have just about every color, shade and sparkle you could think of!
