Thursday, January 24 – Day 22
Four degrees. It was four degrees out when I left for work. I didn’t even knew it could get that cold! After spending the day before lying low and resting, I was shocked when I stepped outside. Did I mention it was four degrees?!
The good news is even with the frigid temperature and nearly frozen extremities, I felt a lot better this morning. That my friends is being attributed to the Whole30. While it may not have completely prevented me from catching a cold, I definitely think eating well and getting the right amount of sleep are the reasons I was able to fight off the cold before it became worse and get right back into the swing of things! That and LOTS of water and hand washing !
What do you do to stay healthy and fight off illness this time of year?
Sleep
8 hours
Activity
Walking to and from work, grocery shopping and lots of blogging
Food
Breakfast- Coffee with almond milk and a banana
Snack- Handful of dried bananas, cranberries, raisins, almonds and cashews
Lunch- Chicken soup (no noodles)
Snack- Handful of dried bananas, cranberries, raisins, almonds and cashews
Dinner- Bacon burger with tomato and lettuce, and sweet potato fries
From January 3 through February 1, I’m documenting my Whole30 experience, including sleep, activity and food. Although I follow Paleo guidelines most of the time, I’m going all-in for the next 30 days to detox and restart my Paleo habits after an indulgent holiday season.

Not interested in the Whole30? Not to worry! I will still be posting recipes, outfits, crafts and other things, as well.
