There is no real substitute for homemade, but these days people are busy. So when I come across a pre-made snack that paleo friendly, I have to try it at least once.
Lately, paleo friendly granola has been poping up left and right. I found some at the local farmer’s market, I spotted a boutique brand in Whole Foods and even some big name food distributors are starting to cater to the grain free granola movement.
Below I am breaking down my top three brands paleo granola. But don’t take my word for it, go try it yourself!
White Lion Baking Company Grain Free Granola
I have been a fan of White Lion Baking Company for a while now. A local brand with delicious paleo products and mixes, these gals never disappoint. I love supporting local companies, especially when supporting them means eating lots of paleo treats! White Lion Baking Company’s paleo pizza dough and cinnamon bun muffin mix were always my go-to. That was, until I picked up a bag of their Grain Free Granola at the Copley farmer’s market one afternoon. The perfect combination of sweet and crunchy, makes this granola impossible to resist. I also love that the unexpected, but delicious combination of dried cranberries and dates. This tart combination, sprinkled with cinnamon will make you want to dig in and eat the whole bag!
Grain Free Granola, and other White Lion Baking Company products, is available at their brick and mortar shop in Mashpee, MA, as well as a number of other locations throughout Massachusetts. Check here for specific locations.
Larabar is one of my favorite paleo friendly products when I am on the go. So when I found out that the brand was introducing a line of grain free granola, I just had to get my hand on some. A blend of fruits, nuts, and seeds, Renola is the perfect topping for your coconut yogurt or served with almond milk. But my favorite thing about Renola is that it is individually packaged, making it easy to take on the go. And at only 2.19 per pouch, it is one of the most affordable paleo friendly granola on the market.
Renola is available at most grocery stores. You can also purchase Renola online.
A few weeks ago I accidentally stumbled upon Paleonola at my local Whole Foods Market, and decided to give it a try. Like the other grain free granola listed above, Paleonola is made from real food. No oats, grains or other cheap fillers – meaning you can actually pronounce everything on the label! Unlike the options above, Paleonola comes in five different flavors, original, chocolate fix, maple pancake, apple pie and pumpkin pie. The signature blend of seeds and nuts it what really made Paleonola stand out. It was store bought, but tasted homemade. Go check them out and try the variety pack to see which flavor is your favorite!
Paleonola is available at many Whole Foods Markets across the country, as well as online. Check here for more locations.
