Over the past week or so I’ve noticed life passing by at an ever increasing speed. No longer do the days seem to move by at a glacially slow pace while I wait for summer break, instead I am struggling to keep up as each day, then week, seems to zip by without breaking ground on any of my to do lists.
That is why I am making a resolution (I know I’m a little early) to live each day to the fullest. No, I’m not talking jumping out of planes and learning to salsa– though I’m sure those two things will happen at some point. I’m talking about making my dreams a reality.
You know the age old question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Well my answered have varied from princess, to famous actress, to the President of the United States. However, in the most recent past the answer has remained focused around writing. I think I’d be happy doing anything from blogging about fashion to writing a best seller (though I will admit to my desire to test out law school has never quite disappeared).
These days, as I start to gain a better grip on who I am and who I want to be, I’m starting to realize that now is the time to turn those dreams into a reality and stop dragging my feet. If I want to be a successful blogger, I better get serious and start reading, posting, and networking. If I want to be an author, well that book ain’t gonna write itself. And if I want to be a lawyer, I guess it’s time I start studying for the LSATs.
I hope this morning’s Monday Morning Motivation inspire you, as much as they inspired me. It’s time to realize your dreams and start making them into a reality.
