I’ll admit it, I’m a total wimp. I used to pretend that I could handle the scary movies everyone else loves to watch around Halloween– you know the ones I mean, the movies that leave you swaddled in a blanket covering your eyes and too scared to put your feet on the floor– but I’m over the nightmares and the irrational fear of opening the shower curtain.
However, just because I don’t want to put myself through the torture (yes, torture) of watching scary movies on Halloween, doesn’t mean that I don’t like to get in the spirit of the holiday! I love Halloween and there are a number of classic Halloween movies that are sure to delight without the fright!
Hocus Pocus
Halloweentown
(1,2,3… how many are there now?)
The Nightmare Before Christmas
(Other Tim Burton favorites include Coraline and The Corpse Bride)
Little Shop of Horrors (or the classic Rocky Horror Picture Show)
It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
Double Double, Toil and Trouble
