I love playing dress up! Whether it’s pulling out my cowboy boots and plaid to go horseback riding or my favorite concert T and cut off shorts to go see a live band, I am a firm believer in looking the part.
That being said, there is no better day for dressing up than Halloween. It is the one day each year when it is totally acceptable to be someone completely different! While most girls my age take Halloween to be an excuse to squeeze into the skimpiest nurses outfit in the costume store, I’ve never been the biggest fan of mass produced, store bought costumes. That doesn’t mean I haven’t worn them though.
About this time each year I start thinking about all of the different costumes that I could wear on Halloween. I am always determined to come up with an amazing and original costume, but more often than not I either can’t decide or I wait to long to make up my mind. and every year I am frantic to find a costume the day before– okay, okay the day of– Halloween.
But not this year my friends! I have decided that this is the year I will prevail and make my own, inspired DIY Halloween costume– cue the applause!
So I need your help! I am trying to decide between Carrie Bradshaw, fashion icon and sexy journalist from Sex and the City, or a Cave Girl in the City, picture a typical cave girl all glammed up.
