If you have been on Pinterest at all this winter, you have probably seen holiday wreaths made out of just about everything imaginable– pinecones, holiday bulbs, wine corks, yarn, etc. However my personal favorite is– and always will be– pine trimming. Real pine trimmings, with that amazing pine scent that brings you right back to Christmas morning opening presents under the tree.
Even better than hanging up a real wreath of your front door this holiday season, is decorating your own! It an easy and festive way to add a personal touch to your front door this holiday season!
You will need:
- A wreath (real
or fake) - Poinsettia flowers (real or fake)
- String or twine
- A big red bow
- Nails
- A hammer
Instructions:
- Hammer a nail into your front door– ours was already there, win! Tie a piece of string or twine around the top of the the wreath and hang it the wreath on the nail.
2. Use anther piece of string or twine to tie your red bow to the bottom center of the wreath.
3. Strategically place flowers from a poinsettia plant around the wreath. I used fake flowers from Michaels because they can be reused the following year– and they were only $1!
4. Ta da! A festive holiday wreath to bring a little cheer to an otherwise undecorated apartment hallway!
