With Halloween only a few short weeks away it is just about time to nail down the perfect costume. While store bought Halloween costumes provide great inspiration, I try to avoid spending a lot of money on poor quality costume that I only wear once. Instead, I prefer to purchase a few trendy pieces that work well to create a unique costume and can easily be re-purposed and incorporated into my wardrobe throughout the year. While these costumes aren’t exactly DIY, they still have the same effect and are sure to be unique!
Throughout the month of October I’ll be sharing a “home made” costume idea every Monday in a special Halloween edition of What to Wear! To kick things off I assembled my version of a Ballerina costume. A tulle skirt is totally in this season and can be easily re-purposed this fall with a chambray top. For Halloween, keep things simple with a basic pink cami and gold flats, but go all out with sparkly jewelry, dramatic make-up and a sock bun!
