Hi everyone! My name is Courtney and I blog on over at GirlAvantGarde.com. I get to take over today as Kenzie vacations in London. I decided to share a classic look inspired-by dance. While I wear this on the streets of NYC I could completely see myself wearing it while dining over fish and chips in London too. Some more about my inspiration behind the look…
Skirt c/o Lulus.com (sold out, similar dress) | Top c/o LAmade | Bracelets c/o Sugar Bean Jewelry, Forever21, J.crew | Necklace – Ann Taylor (old, similar here & here) | Earrings & Ring c/o Sugar Bean Jewelry | Heels – Jessica Simpson | Nails – Sally Hansen, Violet Voltage
When I was little, my parents took me to see Swan Lake and after that I always wanted to be a ballerina. I was mesmerized by the tall slender dancers in their delicate white ballet outfits. Today the classic dance still inspires my fashion choices, as also seen here. I love that tulle skirts are back in style, and I’ve been searching for the perfect one that does not overwhelm my frame. Although this skirt is not tulle, the fragile material and feathered layers give off the grown-up girlish look for which I was aiming. And all white paired with a turquoise necklace and a delicate ring and sparkling bracelets completed it.
Thanks so much for having me, Kenzie! Hope you’ll all come say hi at Girl Avant Garde. xoxo
