Another week down and only a little over seven weeks until the new year. Yes, you heard right seven weeks. Where has this year gone? It feels like only yesterday I was sitting in my little computer corner at the old apartment planing out my new year resolutions. Now we’re in a new apartment, we have a puppy and I’m sitting in my home office, candle burning of course, and thinking about everything that I have accomplished over the past year. It’s been a doozey but looking back I wouldn’t change one second of it.
So how am I doing? With less than two months to accomplish my goals, I can confidently say I’m doing pretty well.
Drink more water- This is one I am always working on but keeping a water bottle on my desk encourages me to drink more water everyday.
Sweat more whether it’s at the gym, dancing, or going for a run- I’m definitely doing better here than I was last year here and I contribute that partly to running a mile to catch the train from our new apartment and partly due to the long walks and dance parties with my new pup.
Do a Whole 30– Mission accomplished and then some! I completed two Whole 30s this year and learned a whole lot in the process. I’ll be sharing my insights soon, and I’m looking forward to another Whole 30 after the holidays!
Experiment more in the kitchen with Paleo recipes- Hello recipe box! I can definitely say I got more adventurous in the kitchen this year and cooked up more paleo recipes than I thought possible. I love trying new things in the kitchen, so this one will probably stay on the list next year as well!
Make every post count- It amazes me everyday how far this little blog has come over the past year. It wasn’t until the beginning of this year that I started taking the blog seriously and it is truly inspiring how far you can come when you really put your heart into something. Ever since writing this goal, I’ve put my heard (and head) into every post I’ve written.
Spend more time reading, writing and creating something beautiful- This goal goes right along with the one above. In addition to spending more time writing and creating this beautiful place on the inter web, I have spent a lot of time reading and reacting to what others have to say, and ultimately building some amazing friendships.
Save money for a DSLR camera, buy one and learn how to use it- Check and check!
Do more of what makes me happy- I think this is a goal that I still work at everyday but I am doing my best to include a little me time into my daily routine.
Did you make a new year resolution or list of goals last year? How are you doing?
