I’m not going to lie to you, it’s not easy being green. J and I were pretty apprehensive about throwing anything green into our regular smoothie routine. I’m mean let’s be honest, there’s nothing particularly appetizing about that muddy green color of “green” smoothies and the thought of veggies in my smoothie had me running for the hills.
But you know what they say, it’s always greener on the other side (last green pun, I promise!) and I could not be more happy that we made the leap to green smoothies. Not only are green smoothies filled with nutrients, they taste great too!
I partly contribute the amazing taste and texture to our Ninja Professional Blender! The powerful blades do a great job truly blending all of the ingredients, so that you would never guess there were vegetables and seeds in it! This drink is now one of my favorites and at the top of J’s list. I promise you that this is a easy, delicious recipe for first time “green” smoothie makers – and is nowhere near as intimidating as the name I’ve given it!
And if you really don’t think you can handle that interesting color, just put it in an opaque cup with a lid and I promise you won’t even notice a difference from your usual morning smoothie!
