One of the best and most difficult things things about being Paleo is buying fresh food. While it’s great to cook and eat fresh, fresh foods also go bad faster than those with preservatives. Case in point- bananas. How often do you buy a bunch of bananas (remember those amazing deals at the farmer’s market) only to have them turn brown before you can eat them all?
My solution? Freeze them! Slice the bananas, put them in a freezer bag and toss them in the freezer for later – its that simple! Your bananas will stay fresh and are pre-sliced for your morning smoothie or homemade banana ice-cream!
Bananas are easily one of my favorite foods because they are so versatile. Below are a few of my favorite banana recipes for the next time your bananas start to look a little brown.
