I’m sure you remember my excitement a few months ago when I told you J and I were moving to a new place at the end of August. Well, after months of anticipation, it finally feels like the move is just around the corner! And you know what that means, inspiration boards galore!
Prior to moving into our current place, I created an inspiration board for each room of the apartment. With J’s help I picked color palates, furniture and decorative accents that embodied the feel I was looking for each room. These inspiration boards allowed us to work together to combine our design tastes into a cohesive plan for each room. I was also able to give a copy of the inspiration boards to our moms in case they spotted something that was a perfect fit (like the antique globe my mom picked up for our living room).
So the planning has started, and what better room to start with than the guest room cave?! Remember when I have you an inside look at my gallery wall inspiration for the cave here?
Since this space will be my office I definitely want it so spark creativity. I’m picturing inspirational quotes, clean lines and touch of leopard print (this is a cave after all). However, this space will also double as a guest room when we have friends and family in from out of town so I want to keep the colors somewhat neutral and cohesive.
How do you plan when moving into a new space?
