It may seem odd for an underwear company to promote “going commando,” but that’s exactly what one women’s start-up is doing.
Dear Kate is a NYC based, revolutionary underwear company with a mission to “give women the confidence to do anything.” When founder Julie Sygiel realized the need for better performance underwear for women she used her chemical engineer background to create just that. She took to the lab to develop a silky-soft, patent-pending fabric that is behind each pair of Dear Kates.
But she didn’t stop there, Dear Kate is solving yet another problem for women with their new line of yoga pants. According to their Kickstarter, Dear Kate is “done with flimsy leggings”. Their latest line of yoga pants and shorts are designed to give you comfort, freedom of movement and, of course, a killer looking backside. Say bye to the days of thin, see through leggings that don’t stand up to a season’s worth of training.
After polling over 900 women to see what they loved, hated, and dreamed for in a pair of yoga pants, the women at Dear Kate set forward to create the ultimate yoga pant. Imagine no more VPL (visible panty lines), no bunching or riding up, and no stress over winging it without underwear.
I can tell you from personal experience that if these yoga pants are anything like Dear Kate’s line of sport underwear they will stand up to running, spinning, cross-training, and anything else you throw at them. But the best thing about these yoga pants is that because they are made with the same patent-pending Underlux fabric as Dear Kate underwear, these pants have your back if you decide to “go commando.” And less face-it no underwear mean a much more comfortable and stress free workout.
Dear Kate launched a Kickstarter campaign last week to fund the launch of their new line of yoga pants and shorts. Within just a few hours they were halfway to their $15,000 goal, and about a day later they had almost quadrupled it! Now, with 21 days to go Dear Kate is looking to raise $100,000 and is offering a contrast stitching option!
I am not only a huge supporter of this brand, but I am also incredibly inspired by the ladies behind Dear Kate. Support Dear Kate by donating to it’s Kickstarter and spread the word using the hash-tag “#GoCommando”.
