With just five ingredients, these cabbage steaks are an easy vegetable dish to throw together when you are tight on time. They pair well with steak, make a great bade for bun-less burgers, or can be enjoyed on their own!
Ingredients
1 large red cabbage
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
Turn on the grill
Slice the cabbage steaks ½- 1 inch thick, leaving the core in
Lay the cabbage on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil
Sprinkle garlic, salt and pepper evenly
Place the cabbage on the grill and cook for about 5-8 minutes per side, or until slightly charred
Notes
This recipe can also be made in the oven. Preheat the oven to 425 and cook for 20-25 minutes.
