Asian Broccolini and Orange Chicken

This Paleo version of a take-out favorite is full of flavor but much lighter than its breaded and battered counterpart. I like to serve with a side of broccolini, but you can easily use broccoli instead.
Ingredients
Orange Chicken
  • 1 tablespoon grass-fed butter4 chicken breasts, diced
  • ¼ cup chicken stock
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 3 tablespoons coconut aminos
  • 1½ teaspoons Steve's Paleo Goods Sriracha sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
Asian Broccolini
  • 1 bunch broccolini
  • 1¼ tablespoons coconut aminos
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • ¾ teaspoon sesame oil
  • ⅓ teaspoon coconut sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper
Instructions
  1. In a medium pan over medium heat, melt the butter and add diced checken
  2. Cook chicken until thoroughly cooked and browned, remove from pan and set aside
  3. Combine chicken stock, honey, garlic, orange zest, orange juice, coconut aminos, Sriracha sauce, ginger and red pepper flakes in a medium bowl
  4. Pour into the heated pan and reduce to low heat, stirring continuously
  5. Cook until the sauce has been reduced and coats the back of a wooden spoon
  6. While the sauce cooks, steam broccolini until tender, about 5 minutes
  7. Add the chicken back into the pan and stir until the sauce coats all of the chicken evenly
  8. Combine coconut aminos, rice vinegar, sesame oil, coconut sugar, garlic powder and crushed red pepper in a small bowl
  9. Pour the sauce on top of the broccolini
  10. Garnish chicken and broccolini with sesame seeds and serve
