After covering about 80 percent of the city and all of the major sights during our first day in London, we decided to take the next few days a little slower and truly experience some of the hidden gems in London– starting with an amazing lunch at Smithy’s.
Then we headed to Platform 9 3/4 to look for my favorite wizard.
After visiting King’s Cross, we headed across the street to explore another train station, St. Pancras. I fell in love with the statue above.
I was slightly disappointed there were no elephants, clowns or balloons in Picadilly Circus,
but was pleasantly surprised to find some Spice Girls music at Picadilly Theater.
I blame the Tower of London for my blisters and sore legs– they must have been pretty fit back in the day.
We followed the Tower of London by crossing the Tower Bridge (which I may have incorrectly called London Bridge all week).
Isn’t A cute?
Yes she is! One beer a year, gotta make it count in London with my best friend.
A walk through the lovely town of Camden.
Some unexpected sunshine made for a relaxing morning at St. Paul’s Cathedral.
I’m gonna go ahead and take credit for this awesome picture.
And no trip to London would be complete without a walk across the Millennium bridge (you may not see any dementors, but remember they’re not visible to mortals).
Have you ever been to London? What was your favorite part of your trip?
