Pack a Workout – You don’t need a gym to fit in a workout. Pack a pair of sneakers, a resistance band and jump rope and head to a local park. You can also check out this series for some great workouts that don’t require any equipment.
Wake up Early – Let’s face it, no one wants to leave the beach to go workout. Instead, set your alarm and fit in an am workout before all the fun begins. Not only will you feel energized and ready for the day, but you are more likely to make healthy decisions. Another great tip is to schedule time to go to a workout class or meet with a personal trainer.
Befriend the Mini Fridge – Push those mini tequila bottles aside and make room for some sliced veggies. Make the mini fridge work for you and fill it up with healthy snacks. They’ll come in handy while your getting ready or when you come back to the hotel from a night at the bar.
Drink Water – It sounds easy but too often we are busy sipping on sugary drinks with pink umbrellas (just me?) to remember to switch it up with a glass of H2O. Not to mention laying on the beach already dehydrates you. Try to drink a glass of water in between every alcoholic beverage and be sure to drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day!
Take a Walk – There are so many fun places to see when traveling to a new place. Pack a pair of sneakers and get out and explore! And don’t forget your camera!
